Degges, Died January, 1864.[1185] [Error, year is 1865.] is “Degges” our typo or was it quoted directly from source? “I have just heard of the death of Churchill Diggs, [sic] a member of the Black Horse—was found Thursday on the Road side—he was on his way home—cause of his death unknown—unless from the intense cold weather.” This letter is dated “Friday night Jany 27th/65”.[1186] Churchill G. Digges was found on Thursday, 26 January 1865.
