Additional Information: V. [looks like Holms, M. C. Prince William County.] One source lists as in Co. A.[1995] Check. # This source is Stiles; he lists M. C. Holmes as Co. H. Did Lynn mean that another source lists MCH as Co. A? One source lists both M. C. Holmes and “C. F. Holmes.”[1996] This is probably an error. One later source also lists both “C. F. Holmes” and “M. C. Holmes” but notes that the former appears only on a “post-war roll,”[1997] which is likely the aforesaid first source of this error. No other information for a C. F. Holmes of Company H, Fauquier County, has been found during this research.
